Bucs running back Doug Martin is scheduled to have surgery on his shoulder today one week after being placed on injured reserve. The new was first reported by Jenna Laine of Sports Talk Florida.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Pro Bowl running back Doug Martin will undergo surgery today to repair a torn labrum exactly one week after the Bucs shut down his 2013 season and placed him on Injured Reserve.

It would later be confirmed in Greg Schiano‘s post practice press conference via Tampa Tribunes Roy Cummings, who said that Mike James also had surgery.

For Martin, normal rehab time is anywhere from two to three months. He should be more than ready for the start of next season.
